Crime Statistics for Brooklyn

Between 1990 and 1997, reported crimes dropped by 50 percent, or 100,500, in Brooklyn, to total 101,500 incidents. The declines ranged from a high of 67.5 percent for motor vehicle theft to a low of 32.3 percent for larceny. 


 
Brooklyn North consists of a number of communities including: Brooklyn Heights, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Cypress Hills, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Bushwick and Ridgewood.
