BEDC celebrated their 25th Anniversary Gala at the Prospect Park Boathouse

Last Wednesday the Brooklyn Economic Development Corporation celebrated their 25th Anniversary Gala at the Prospect Park Boathouse. Master of Ceremonies Julian Phillips, anchor at FOX News Channel, joined the BEDC staff and board of directors in honoring two individuals for their contributions. Mark O’Luck, president & CEO of spectrum Personal Communications Corporation and BEDC chairman, was recognized for his commitment to fostering success for New York City’s businesses, particularly small, women and minority businesses. Richard E. Dwyer, Executive Director of the NYC and Vicinity Carpenters Labor-Management Cooperation Trust Fund, was honored for his work obtaining grant money to train minority youth from targeted neighborhoods to become successful journey-level construction workers and his other achievements in the area of community development.
