12/09/2005 Handcrafted jewelry, one-of-a-kind bags, and unique art work will be among the gift items graduates of Brooklyn Economic Development Corporation’s (BEDC) entrepreneur training programs will be offering for sale at the organization’s upcoming Winter Bazaar from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., December 16 in the Parish Hall of St. Ann and the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 157 Montague Street at Clinton Street. This is the second year that BEDC has held a Winter Bazaar for graduates of BEDC’s entrepreneur training programs. “More than 20 BEDC entrepreneurs will be participating in the Winter Bazaar this year,” said Marjorie Schulman, director of several of BEDC’s entrepreneur training programs. “The bazaars give the public an opportunity to buy great gifts and support local entrepreneurs while providing opportunities for our clients to showcase their products and supplement the skills they learn in the classes, workshops, and one-to-one training sessions.” BEDC currently offers three entrepreneur training programs—the Entrepreneur Assistance Program, a 15-week program for current and aspiring entrepreneurs; LAUNCH, a program for individuals with a mental health diagnosis; and On Track, a program for individuals with physical and visual disabilities. More information about BEDC’s Winter Bazaar is available from Tamara Al-Fadl at 718-522-4600 extension 25. More information is available at www.bedc.org.
