PowerUP!: Your Business Starts Here

Brooklyn Public Library's Business Library and Citibank

Free. Brooklyn Public Library's Business Library in conjunction with sponsor Citibank launches "PowerUP!: Your Business Starts Here", the third annual business plan competition for Brooklyn-based entrepreneurs with cash prizes totaling $25,000.
The first place winner of the Business Library competition will receive $15,000 with two runners-up each receiving $5,000. In addition, winners will receive business assistance services with a value of $5,000.
The competition is open to entrepreneurs and new Brooklyn-based businesses that require start-up capital. All entrants will receive instruction on writing a business plan, and financing, marketing and building a business. In order to be eligible to apply, Brooklyn residents, 18 years and older, who are either U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents, must attend one of four PowerUP! orientation sessions held at the Business Library at 280 Cadman Plaza West, downtown Brooklyn.
All applicants must attend one orientation being held at the Business Library, 280 Cadman Plaza West, Brooklyn, NY 11201. The orientation will give you all the details about applying to PowerUP!.
