The BEST CENTER: Programs and Services

The Brooklyn Entrepreneur Support and Training Center (BEST Center) is located within BEDC's headquarters. It is a place where individuals feel free to creatively explore all possible activities that can lead to business success. A place where they can feel confident that their ideas will be critically reviewed by a staff that views their success in business as its ultimate goal

The BEST Center is primarily funded through corporate and foundation underwriting and a small annual membership fee to participants. Most programs and services are available at low or no cost. 

The center is available by appointment.

Business development services provided through the BEST Center are:

• Access to internet-connected computers
• Business planning and management
• A business resource library
• Bid documents for major construction projects in New York City
• Procurement assistance for minority businesses
• Help certify minority and women-owned businesses
• Advocacy and red-tape cutting
